 講演内容:
The development of heterogeneous catalysts with high activity, selectivity, and stability is essential for making catalytic organic reactions practically useful. While many organic transformations have been achieved with homogeneous catalysts, addressing their limitations—such as high catalyst loadings, poor selectivity, and the use of toxic and expensive reagents—presents challenges and opportunities for future chemists. Designing novel catalysts that combine the advantages of both heterogeneous and homogeneous catalysis to overcome long-standing issues in organic synthesis is highly desirable. In this research program, we develop various metal–organic framework supported copper catalysts that efficiently promote electron/energy transfer-mediated reactions under visible light. These catalysts demonstrate outstanding stability and recyclability due to catalyst-site isolation. Heterogenization increases the transition energy and lifetime of photoexcited copper(I) species, boosting catalytic performance and expanding substrate scope beyond what is possible in homogeneous systems. Additionally, we use post-synthetic metalation on covalent organic frameworks to create robust heterogeneous palladacycle catalysts for C–H activation reactions. We also enhance electron donor–acceptor complex formation in UiO-type frameworks to facilitate efficient photoinduced radical addition reactions. Finally, leveraging copper nanoclusters’ excellent visible-light absorption and exposed active sites for carbon–heteroatom bond formation, we report the first cluster-catalyzed cyanofluoroalkylation of alkenes and Fukuyama indole synthesis induced by blue-LED light, along with broad-scope protosilylation.
