　本シンポジウムは、2019年に東北大学と台北科技大学との大学間協定が締結されたことから、東北大—台北科技大の研究者や学生間における研究交流のみならず将来的に共同研究に繋げられる研究テーマの芽を発掘することを目的としています。
　2018年に多元研と台北科技大工程院との部局間協定が締結されて以来、毎年ジョイントシンポジウムが開催されてきました。今回で5回目となりますが、新型コロナ禍状況を鑑みオンラインでの開催となります。
　今回は、東北大－台北科技大両機関から将来研究ビジョンを意識したKeynote講演、新進気鋭の中堅・若手研究者によるプロジェクト報告や話題提供講演、両大学学生によるFlash Presentationが行われます。皆様奮ってご参加頂ければ幸甚です。
