On June 7, 2023, a delegation of six from University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), led by Prof. Wunan Huang, Vice President of USTB, visited IMRAM, Tohoku University. They held discussions with Prof. Masami Terauchi, director of IMRAM, Prof. Atsushi Muramatsu Associate Executive Vice President (for Planning of Next Generation Synchrotron Radiation), and professors of IMRAM. Prof. Terauchi introduced outline and recent initiatives of IMRAM. Prof. Muramatsu presented an overview of the next generation synchrotron facility named “NanoTerasu”. Prof. Huang expressed their gratitude Tohoku University for cooperation in academic exchanges. Prof. Cao introduced USTB, and history of the activities for academic exchange between USTB and IMRAM. Then they discussed the possibilities for future cooperation, such as lectures, workshop, and student exchange.
Tohoku University and University of Science and Technology Beijing concluded an academic agreement in 2002.
