From February 2 to 17, 2023, researchers from the Republic of South Africa visited IMRAM for training. Dr. Babatunde OLADIPO (researcher) and Mr. Sibulele ZIDE (M2) from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, and Mr. Koena RAMASENYA, a researcher from the Council for Geoscience and a registered student (M2) at the University of Cape Town, learned how to operate the equipment installed at IMRAM. They observed laboratory experiments and received detailed explanations from Dr. Hsing-Jung Ho (JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow) and technical staff. This visit was carried out as part of the SATREPS project titled “Development of a Carbon Recycling System toward a Decarbonised Society by Using Mineral Carbonation” promoted by Associate Professor Atsushi Iizuka and research institutes and a company in Japan and the Republic of South Africa.
