Depth-Resolved in situ Soft X-ray Absorption Spectroscopic Technique for Reaction Mechanism Study of All Solid State Lithium Ion Battery
In order to understand reaction mechanism in all solid state lithium ion battery, it is important to clarify chemical and physical states of the electrode and the electrolyte materials under operating conditions. In particular, elucidating depth profile of chemical and physical properties in the electrode and the electrolyte including their interface is expected to give us a new perspective from which to understand the electrode reactions. For this purpose, we have developed a novel in situ analytical technique with a high depth-resolution in the order of nm by applying the grazing-exit in situ soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS).
