Suppression of carbon deposition on Ni based cermet anode under low humidified hydrocarbon fuel.
Saefuludin
As most widely used anode material for SOFC, Ni based cermet have poor durability under low humidified hydrocarbon. This material degrades because of carbon deposition process which affects the catalytic activity of nickel. On this study, we try to suppress the carbon deposition on Ni based cermet anode by adding special core and shell shape bimetal catalyst, as well as to propose possible mechanism of carbon deposition suppression. The performance of the special core and shell shape catalyst is compared to normal catalysts to understand the effect of catalyst geometry on the carbon deposition suppression mechanism.
