第58回電池討論会
(福岡県福岡市, November 14th-16th 2017)体験記 (Writer:Mean)

Hi everyone, this is Mean. Here is my turn once again to tell you a story about the 58th Battery symposium in Japan or 電池討論会 (in Japanese). This time is more special since it was held in Fukuoka, the heart of Kyushu Island. From Amezawa’s laboratory, two members (Asst. Prof. Kimura, and I) have participated this symposium.

In this conference, our group has presented our latest measurement approaches to evaluate the reaction distribution mechanism in the composite electrode of both liquid-based lithium-ion batteries, and the bulk-type all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries. For me, I have presented a new measurement technique to evaluate the 3D chemical state of the composite electrode by integrating the computed tomography (CT) scan and the x-ray absorption spectroscopy. Although it is only 15 minutes that I could present this result, I still got much kindly responses and a lot of comments from the audiences and chairperson. This is another good experience for me.
Besides the conference, I have met my friend who graduated from the same laboratory in Thailand. It is funny that we are working on something very different from what we have done in the past. We spent most of the time in the conference together. It is quite a good chance to have someone discussing with you with your mother tongue right!?

Lastly, I will leave you with a beauty of the seascape beside the conference hall.

Thank you for your reading.
Until we meet again
