題目: Better Insight with Operando Techniques into Metal-Oxygen Batteries
概要:
Metal-oxygen batteries are very appealing for future energy storage applications due to their high theoretical energy densities. However, they are far away from commercialization. Thus, enhanced understanding of the underlying cell chemistry is essential to propel this battery type. Our research presented includes operando XRD, gas analytics (DEMS and pressure monitoring), as well as X-ray tomography results for Li/O2, Na/O2 and Zn/O2 batteries. We aim to reveal the nature of the discharge product and we will thereof highlight the mutual challenges in research on metal-oxygen batteries and identify synergies from which research on all metal-oxygen batteries can benefit.
