電気化学会第84回大会(首都大学東京, March 25th-27th 2017)体験記 (Writer:Mean)

Hello, everyone!
I’m back to this corner again.

This time, I will tell you the story about the 84th electrochemical society of Japan meeting held from March 25-27, 2017 in Tokyo Metropolitan University, Hachioji, Tokyo. It has been two years already since I participated the last meeting in 2015. Since I entered to the conference venue, I feel like coming back home because many professors in the electrochemistry field got together in this place. Especially in the lithium-ion battery session, and fuel cell session.

For Amezawa Laboratory, we have 7 presentations in total, 6 for oral presentation, and 1 invited talk. In this conference, I have presented about “Operando soft-XAS measurements of the LiCoO2 thin film for all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries” on the first day as same as other lab members. This is a very first time of us that can finish the presentation like this. Therefore, on the 2nd and 3rd days, we can focus on collecting information about our interesting presentation. Especially, the 2nd was the big day of our Assistant Prof. Nakamura. He was invited to give a special lecture and won the best achievement award and the best paper award at the same time. By listening to his presentation, he has a very well-organized and very attractive which make me realized that I have many things to do for improving myself.

As always, there are many interesting topics presenting in this conference such as the cutting-edge all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries technology which I mostly interested, and another session that I (accidently) attended like Na-ion batteries, and Fuel cell sessions. During those presentations, I have learned many things such as the conceptual idea of electrochemical systems, the analytical methods, and so on.
By participating the conference, I have learned that if you have a chance to participate the conference, do not let this chance away without doing anything. It is a very good chance to communicate with people, to learn from other people, and to find your driving force for your next stage.
Until we meet again

PS. Our boss is always cool, don’t you think so LOL
