ECSJ 2015 Spring Meeting (Yokohama, March 15-17th 2015)体験記 (Writer:Saefuludin)

This spring I got an opportunity to attend ECSJ meeting to present my research work at Amezawa Lab. ECSJ meeting regularly held twice a year during the spring and autumn, and it has been a regular agenda for our lab to attend this conference. This time, the meeting was held at Yokohama National University. The meeting covered broad topic on the electrochemical science and technology. Even though this meeting is a national scale where most of participants were coming from Japanese university and research center, some participants were coming from outside Japan.

The conference consisted both oral and poster sessions with most sessions were conducted in Japanese. However, there are some of them which were given in English. Since I am not so good at Japanese, I did the oral presentation in English. The meeting was really great opportunity for me to learn and understand the current research trend on the field of electrochemistry. I also have the opportunity to know other researcher who are working on the similar topic that I have been working on, and that give me idea on how to progress my research work to the next step.

While I did learn a lot from attending the meeting, I also have opportunity to explore Yokohama and its surrounding area with other lab members during our free time. Attending conference was very nice since we can both learn more knowledge to support our study and research, and to explore new place and having fun with our lab mates.
